Roman Frederick Starzl

R. F. Starzl (1899–1976) was an Iowa newspaper publisher who, for a few busy years around 1928–1934, was a popular contributor of interplanetary adventure to Astounding, Amazing and Wonder Stories. His fast, colourful space opera was well regarded in its day; he then left fiction for his newspaper business. His son later co-wrote SF as well.
