Erik Fennel published about ten science-fiction stories between 1947 and 1957, almost all in Planet Stories, colourful adventures such as ‘Black Priestess of Varda’ and ‘Madmen of Mars’. Little is recorded of his life beyond that tight body of pulp work; he stands among the many capable, near-anonymous contributors who filled the space-opera magazines.
