Sewell Peaslee Wright (1897–1970) was a WWI veteran and advertising man who published in the fantastic magazines from the 1920s. He is best remembered for the ‘Commander John Hanson’ series in early Astounding, extravagant interstellar adventures opening with ‘The Forgotten Planet’ (1930), and for weird tales such as ‘Vampires of Space’. A characteristic voice of the pre-Campbell pulps.
