Robert Hoskins (1933–1993) began publishing SF in 1958 and, as senior editor at Lancer Books from 1969 to 1972, edited the well-regarded Infinity original-anthology series. His own novels include the ‘Stars’ sequence (Master of the Stars and its sequels) about galactic civilisations linked by ancient stargates. He also wrote Gothic romances under several pen names. A capable author-editor of the paperback era.
