Chester S. Geier (1921–1990) was a workhorse of Raymond Palmer’s Ziff-Davis pulps, pouring out stories for Amazing and Fantastic Adventures under his own name and a small army of house pseudonyms. He edited the Shaver Mystery Magazine as a favour to Palmer and collaborated with Richard Shaver himself. Enormously productive, he was never collected in book form, a pure creature of the magazine era.
