Larry Sternig (1908–1999) wrote fiction from 1933, but made his largest mark as a literary agent: his Milwaukee-based Larry Sternig Agency represented Andre Norton and many other genre writers for over forty years. Renamed Sternig & Byrne when Jack Byrne joined in 1995, the agency remains active. A quietly influential figure behind the scenes of the field.
