Donald Wandrei (1908–1987) was a poet and writer of weird fiction and science fiction for Weird Tales and Astounding, and, crucially, the co-founder, with August Derleth, of Arkham House in 1939, the press that saved H. P. Lovecraft’s work for posterity. His own cosmic and macabre tales, and his cosmic-horror poetry, are admired within the tradition he helped preserve.
