David Duncan (1913–1999) wrote science-fiction novels such as Occam’s Razor and Dark Dominion, but is best remembered in the field for his screenplays, most notably the beloved 1960 film of Wells’s The Time Machine, along with The Monster That Challenged the World and Fantastic Voyage. A significant bridge between literary and cinematic SF.
