Milo Hastings (1884–1957) was an American writer and food scientist whose City of Endless Night (1920) imagines a besieged, underground future Berlin ruled by a caste system and eugenic control, a striking early dystopia that anticipates much later work. He was also a pioneering nutrition and poultry-science writer, a characteristically American mix of the speculative and the practical.
