Wyman Guin (1915–1989) wrote only a handful of stories, but ‘Beyond Bedlam’ (1951), imagining a future in which every human body is legally shared between two alternating personalities to manage aggression, is a genuine Galaxy-era classic of speculative psychology. His novel The Standing Joy and other tales confirm a thoughtful, original talent that appeared only rarely.
