Theodore L. Thomas (1920–2005) was a chemical engineer and patent attorney who published widely in the magazines from the 1950s, sometimes as ‘Leonard Lockhard’ for his patent-law-flavoured stories. ‘The Weather Man’, set under a future Weather Control Board, is his best-known tale, and he co-wrote the disaster novel The Clone. A polished, idea-driven magazine craftsman.
