Sylvia Jacobs published about half a dozen science-fiction stories across the 1950s and 60s, ‘The Pilot and the Bushman’ (Galaxy, 1951), ‘A Stitch in Time’, ‘Slave to Man’, from Astounding to Galaxy. A California writer with a doctorate, she reportedly did oceanographic research for a Heinlein juvenile that was never written. Little else is recorded of her life beyond the bibliography.
