S. J. Byrne

S. J. Byrne (1913–2011), Stuart J. Byrne, began publishing SF in Amazing in 1935 and wrote prolifically for the pulps and paperbacks under his own name and pen names like ‘John Bloodstone’. He scripted the TV series Men into Space and the film Doomsday Machine, and, when currency troubles halted the US Perry Rhodan line, wrote the eleven-book ‘Star Man’ series for Forrest J Ackerman. A durable career across page and screen.
