Rosel George Brown

Rosel George Brown (1926–1967) was a New Orleans classicist and welfare worker whose science fiction, from 1958, earned a Hugo nomination as best new author. Her novel Sibyl Sue Blue features one of the genre’s first hard-boiled female detectives, and she co-wrote Earthblood with Keith Laumer. Her promising career was cut short by lymphoma at 41.
