Ron Goulart

Ron Goulart (1933–2022) was one of the genre’s funniest and most productive hands, turning out satirical SF full of malfunctioning robots and absurd futures, the ‘Vampirella’ novelisations, the ‘Barnum System’ stories and much more, under his own name and many pseudonyms. He ghostwrote William Shatner’s ‘TekWar’ series and was a serious historian of the pulps and comics. Brisk, breezy and knowing, he was a specialist in comedy where the genre often lacked it.
