Raymond E. Banks (1918–1986) published a steady run of science-fiction short stories in the 1950s and early 60s, in Galaxy, F&SF and others, competent, readable tales such as ‘The Short Ones’. A characteristic mid-list magazine writer of the genre’s boom decade.
