Lee Hawkins Garby

Lee Hawkins Garby (1892–1953) was a friend and neighbour of E. E. Smith who collaborated with him on the original writing of The Skylark of Space (serialised 1928), helping with the human and romantic elements of that epoch-making space opera. Her contribution to one of the genre’s founding texts secures her a place in its history.
