Kendell Foster Crossen (1910–1981) was a prolific writer across science fiction, mystery and the pulps, editing the Detective Fiction Weekly and creating detectives like the Green Lama. In SF he is fondly remembered for the ‘Manning Draco’ stories, comic tales of an interstellar insurance investigator. He also wrote under names including ‘Richard Foster’ and ‘M. E. Chaber’. A busy, entertaining professional.
