Jeff Sutton (1913–1979) drew on his experience as a Marine and an aerospace technical writer to produce a long line of readable science-fiction novels from the late 1950s, First on the Moon, Bombs in Orbit and many more, with a strong technical and Cold-War flavour. He also wrote well-regarded juvenile SF with his wife Jean Sutton. A dependable hard-SF craftsman of the space-race years.
