Herbert D. Kastle (1924–1987) wrote science-fiction stories and the well-regarded Gold Medal paperbacks Hot Prowl and The Reassembled Man in the 1950s and 60s, before finding greater commercial success with steamy ‘big novel’ bestsellers in the Harold Robbins vein. A capable genre hand who moved into mainstream popular fiction.
