Harry Warner, Jr. (1922–2003) was one of fandom’s most beloved figures and its foremost historian. A prolific letter-writer and fanzine contributor from his home in Hagerstown, Maryland, hence his affectionate nickname, he chronicled the SF fan community in the definitive histories All Our Yesterdays and A Wealth of Fable, winning Hugos for his fan writing. An indispensable keeper of the genre’s social memory.
