Fox B. Holden (1923–1973), born in Rochester, New York, was a science-fiction writer whose stories, often turning on social structures and ethical dilemmas in future or alien settings, appeared in the magazines from the mid-1940s, beginning as a young man in uniform. ‘The Woman-Stealers of Thrayx’ is among his better-remembered tales. A characteristic mid-century magazine contributor.
