Harl Vincent (1893–1968), pen name of Harold Vincent Schoepflin, was a Westinghouse mechanical engineer who, inspired by Gernsback’s Amazing Stories, published more than seventy stories from 1928 through the early 1940s. His engineer’s eye for machinery made him a characteristic ‘gadget’ writer of the Gernsback era, and he returned late in life with a final novel and story in the 1960s.
