Fletcher Pratt

Fletcher Pratt (1897–1956) was a noted popular historian of naval and military affairs who also wrote science fiction and fantasy, most memorably the witty ‘Harold Shea’ / Incompleat Enchanter stories co-authored with L. Sprague de Camp, in which a modern man tumbles into the logic of successive mythologies. A famed war-gamer and man of letters, he was a lively fixture of the mid-century genre scene.
