Clifford Ball (1908–1947) was one of the first writers to follow Robert E. Howard into heroic fantasy after Howard’s death, contributing sword-and-sorcery tales like ‘Duar the Accursed’ to Weird Tales in the late 1930s. A small but genuine part of the early history of the sword-and-sorcery subgenre.
