Walter Kubilius (1918–1993) was a charter member of the Futurians, active in fandom from 1932 and on the committee that ran the first Worldcon in 1939. He published twenty-six science-fiction stories from 1941, sometimes as ‘J. S. Klimaris’, some in collaboration with Fletcher Pratt, before turning to non-fiction magazine editing around 1952. A characteristic figure of the Futurian generation.
