‘Carey Rockwell’ is a house pseudonym, not a real writer: it was the byline on the Tom Corbett, Space Cadet books (1952–1956), tie-ins to the popular early-television space serial. The actual authorship has never been firmly established, and the name simply branded the series. The books themselves are a charming artefact of 1950s juvenile space-adventure fiction; the ‘author’ is a marketing convenience.
