Stella Benson

Stella Benson (1892–1933) was a suffragist, traveller and novelist whose Living Alone (1919) is a whimsical, melancholy fantasy of witches and magic in wartime London. Her graceful, ironic imaginative fiction earned her admiration among her peers before her early death abroad.
