Miles J. Breuer

Miles J. Breuer (1889–1945) was a Nebraska doctor and one of the more thoughtful contributors to Gernsback’s early Amazing Stories. Stories like ‘The Gostak and the Doshes’ and ‘The Appendix and the Spectacles’ play cleverly with dimensions, language and mathematics, and he co-wrote ‘The Birth of a New Republic’ with the young Jack Williamson, whom he encouraged. A cerebral pioneer of American magazine SF.
