Manly Banister

Manly Banister (1914–1986) published weird fiction and science fiction from ‘Satan’s Bondage’ in Weird Tales (1942), with the space opera Conquest of Earth and the parallel-world Magnanthropus among his novels. A dedicated fan, he produced the professionally-made fanzine The Nekromantikon and was long active in organised fandom, a characteristic figure straddling the amateur and professional sides of the field.
