Paul Heyse

Paul Heyse (1830–1914) won the 1910 Nobel Prize in Literature as the acknowledged master of the German Novelle. A prolific author of finely crafted short fiction, his large output includes tales that reach into the fantastic and the legendary, in the polished tradition of nineteenth-century German storytelling.
