Jules Lermina (1839–1915) was a busy French author of mystery, adventure and ‘scientific-marvel’ fiction, tales of invisibility, lost worlds and strange science such as To-ho and the Gold Destroyers and Mysteryville. A journalist and occultist as well, he was a lively contributor to the French tradition of the fantastic and the roman scientifique.
